Our garden volunteers enjoying the sunshine
Trustees, Chichele Garden Volunteer gardeners and students from The Ferrers School have been busy planting more bulbs in the flower beds to add to the display of crocus and daffodils in the grass.
The students, working towards a Duke of Edinburgh Award, have been engaged in a range of gardening and other activities as part of the community volunteering aspect of the award.
Rushden Chichele Rotary Club have planted a further 5000 purple crocuses to complement those planted the year before along both sides of the Church Walk.
We thank them for their hard work and look forward to reaping the benefits in the Spring.
Roses are in bloom surrounded by complementary plants; lavender, viola, nepeta, pinks, chives and geraniums.
The lavender we planted in the Jolley Memorial is now looking lovely.
In springtime thousands of snowdrops, crocus, daffodils and tulips enhance the beauty of the Church surroundings.
